Bulk product editing

In short
Section titled “In short”In the Stock | Products → Products list, tick the products, click Bulk edit and change one or more fields at once — on one store, several or all of them. The whole change is written as one batch into Product changes and can be undone with a single click.
Always use Preview before writing: it tells you how many products the change will affect and writes nothing.
Which fields can be edited in bulk
Section titled “Which fields can be edited in bulk”- Identifiers and classification: HS code, brand code, manufacturer code, PLU, supplier, main category.
- Prices: purchase price, price ratio, sale price (as an amount or a percentage) with a from–to validity.
- Internal fields: minimum stock, customs description, English name — kept by the system, invisible to the store, so no store selection is needed for them.
- Internal note.
Product code and EAN cannot be changed in bulk. They identify a specific item — a shared value would merge different products into one. Names and descriptions are not offered either: one sentence would overwrite hundreds of different texts.
An empty value clears the field. That is intentional — for example an empty sale price ends the sale.
Price ratio vs. sale price — two different things
Section titled “Price ratio vs. sale price — two different things”- The price ratio is a permanent multiplier of the selling price:
0.8000means −20 %,1.0000no change. It has no end date — it applies until you change it. - The sale price is a time-limited promotion: a specific amount plus from–to dates. When the sale ends, the regular price applies again.
So make a “weekend” discount with a sale price, not with the ratio.
Sale price by percentage
Section titled “Sale price by percentage”The store platform does not know percentage sales — only specific amounts. That is what the Sale price by percentage field is for: enter the discount percentage (e.g. 20) and the dates, and the system calculates the sale amount for each product separately from its current selling price on the given store. The same percentage on two stores thus means two different (correct) amounts.
With a percentage, the preview also shows a calculation example on the first product, so you see a concrete number before anything is written. The calculated amount is logged for every product.
The percentage and the fixed amount are mutually exclusive — enter one or the other.
Ending a sale
Section titled “Ending a sale”Add the Sale price field and leave it empty: the write cancels the sale on the selected products. Dates without an amount have no meaning.
Preview, note and undo
Section titled “Preview, note and undo”- The Preview writes nothing — it returns the number of affected products (and a calculation example for percentages).
- The note is mandatory. A month later it is the only thing in the log that says why two hundred products changed.
- Every bulk change is one batch: you will find it grouped in Product changes and the Undo whole save button reverts it at once — store fields and internal fields alike.
Bulk editing via the assistant
Section titled “Bulk editing via the assistant”The internal assistant can prepare a bulk change for you: describe what you want (“set a 20% September sale for the LED range”), the assistant selects products by codes or search, prepares a preview and waits for your explicit confirmation — it writes only after it, through the same path as the form.
In Product changes such a batch is labelled chatbot with the text “Chatbot on behalf of …” and your name; the note is your instruction. It can be undone with the same single click.
